Join the CAIBA
Placing membership with the CAIBA is easy. There are two types of membership available, Business Member, and Community Member. Please read our membership criteria before submitting your membership application.
Membership Criteria
Business Member
Membership is open to businesses which are able to answer YES to each of these questions.- Is my business privately held, not publicly traded?
- Do the business owners, totaling greater than 50% of the business ownership, live in Central Illinois?
- Is my business registered in Illinois, with no corporate or national headquarters outside of Illinois?
- Can my business make independent decisions regarding the name and look of the business, as well as all business purchasing, practices and distribution?
- Does my business pay all marketing, rent and other business expenses without assistance from a corporate headquarters?
Community Membership
The CAIBA is aware that some "independent business owners" who own franchise operations will be supportive of the CAIBA cause. They are invited to join the CAIBA as community members - without voting rights but understanding that we certainly value their support.
We also welcome consumers, public officials and any other entity that values the CAIBA effort and invite each to join the organization as a community member.
Membership Cost
Business Member - $100 or $250 for 3 years
Non-Profit Member - $50 or $125 for 3 years
Community Member - $50 or $125 for 3 years
Consumer Member - $25
